There is no account, no sign-in and no advertising. We do not ask who you are and we have no way of finding out. What the game sends is about the game, never about you.
The house answers what you do, and some of those answers are written on our server as you play. To answer, the server has to be told what you did and where you are in the story. That is all it is told: moves in the game, never anything about the person making them.
Alongside, the server keeps anonymous play statistics — which rooms are visited, how far into the month players get, which endings are reached — so we can see whether the game works. Each play session gets a random number the game makes up and throws away; it is not tied to a device, an account or an address, and two sessions cannot be joined together. These records delete themselves after 90 days.
Some actions open rooms the game did not ship with. When that happens the new room is kept, and becomes part of the house for everybody. This is deliberate and it is the best thing the game does.
What is kept is the room itself. Nothing about who opened it: there is no way to attribute a room to a player, including for us.
The house's words are machine-written, not written by other players, and machine-written text is occasionally wrong or strange. If something in the game reads as abusive rather than merely unsettling, tell us and we will remove it.
Your saved game — the day, the room, what you are carrying — is kept on your own device and never sent to us. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app erases it, and there is no copy anywhere else.
The game is rated PEGI 7 and is not directed at children under 13. We collect nothing that identifies anybody, children included.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to produce or delete. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will look.
